Honeymoon Trail form Kanab to House Rock Valley meet at Honey’s at 8:00 a.m.
Travel by truck or SUV from Kanab to Navajo Wells, up over the Buckskin Mountain down to Signature Rock and on to House Rock Valley. Highlights of this trip will be the new monument at Navajo Wells dedicated in April of this year to the early pioneers who traveled this trail to and from Arizona by horseback and covered wagon. And, Signature Rock where many of their names were carved into sandstone cliffs when they stopped overnight to water and rest. This ride will take approximately 6-7 hours. Bring your own lunch and drinks. This ride will be guided by Mel Heaton. Meet at Honey’s Market Parking lot. Departure time is 8:00 a.m.

Horse Back Trail Ride – Kanab Creek meet at 7:30 a.m. at Peek A Boo Trail Head
This is a 4 to 5 hour trail ride starting at 4 mile canyon on Glendale Bench – This is the original trail into Kanab from Glendale for light buggies and horseback. Ride through the Whites to the head waters of Kanab Creek, to Peek-a-boo and on to Diana’s Throne. Bring own water and snacks. Pre-registration necessary. We will need to trailer horses to 4 mile canyon and return the rigs to Diana’s Throne. We will coordinate ferrying the rigs. Pre-registration necessary unless you have someone to ferry your trailer back to Diana’s Throne from 4 mile canyon. We will meet at the Peek-A-Boo Trailhead parking lot at 7:30 a.m. and depart at 8:00 a.m. Horses can be rented for this ride from Mel Heaton. Call Mel at 928-643-7292 to make these arrangements.
